I'm Kate, a curriculum and learning design consultant based in Brooklyn. For more than 14 years, I've designed courses, certifications, and training programs that help adults build skills they can use on the job.
About Me
How I got here
I started my career designing K-12 STEM curriculum, then moved into adult learning, growing and scaling tech boot camps at Trilogy Education and 2U/edX and improving and scaling a live coaching program for sales and customer success teams. Since 2023, I've worked as a consultant through Rose Gold Learning Design, with clients including Semrush and MasterClass.
My learning philosophy
I believe the best learning is practical. Adults come to a course with limited time and a real goal, so every lesson should help them do something better at work, not just know more about it.
I also believe learning should be engaging. People learn more by doing than by reading or listening, so I build courses around hands-on practice and real-world scenarios. My goal is for learners to finish feeling more confident and capable than when they started.
I'm highly tech-forward and view AI as a powerful collaborator in my work, but always review the results.
